For a beginning meditator, the idea of sitting for any length of time focusing on that ever important relationship with self can seem overwhelming. From the moment we get up to the moment we fall asleep, distraction, drama, and chaos seem to come at us from every angle. Truth be told, to have a successful meditation practice one must cultivate it. That means not only dedicating time for self reflection, but also finding the proper space to sit which lends itself to calm and peaceful inward contemplation.
